Creating a Buzz About Your eCHECKUP TO GO

Young woman using a computerThe eCHECKUP TO GO programs are great tools to help individuals evaluate and change their drinking and drug use behaviors. However, they are not effective if they don't get used.

The eCHECKUP TO GO Development Team has created a few promotional tools designed to increase individuals voluntary use of the programs. In a recent research project, we used these materials in high-density student areas such as the campus student center and the residence halls, and we displayed these items during important time periods (e.g., beginning of the semester, spring break, Alcohol Awareness Week). As a result, we experienced a three-fold increase in use of the programs when these promotional materials were presented. We hope they can help you achieve the same level of success.

To help deploy these promotional aids, we provide both a small example of the material and the original graphic images to eCHECKUP TO GO subscribers via our administrative web site. There, subscribers can download and use these files to help create similar materials for their institutions. With very little effort, a graphic designer at your institution should be able to download the original file and insert your eCHECKUP TO GO web address.

You can tailor the text on these images to fit your institution and community and print them on:

  • Napkins
  • Posters
  • Newspaper announcements & articles
  • Handouts
  • Water bottles and other incentive 'give aways'
  • Door Hangers
  • Email promotional campaigns
  • Brochures
